I found out about DSG from the other forum. I remember a few people had DSG and some of the (?Japanese) videos about the launch control feature appealed to me. But then I clicked on a link. That link took me to an American website where there were problems with the DSG on a car that was going to cost £££ to sort out. It put me off entirely and hence when looking at buying a GTI, I went for manual.
