Vag DPB Paint polish and pads, which ones ?

Hi, i was just wondering what the best polish / pad combo was for use on my black mk5, it will be applied on the DAS-6 and the golfs paintwork is pretty good.
It has some light swirls and a couple of randomly placed deeper scratches but im happy enough to just take the rough edges off them and keep my top coat nice and thick.

ive been thinking about menzerna super finish on a polishing pad followed by final finish on the finishing pad ?

any advice appreciated !

Hi fella

I used the menzerna super finish once on my solid balck gti & ....never again. It left cloudy hazing all over the paintwork - spoke to a semi pro detailer & apparently that particular polish can react badly in certain temperatures. I have been using 3m fast cut plus on a 3m green pad followed by the menzerna final finish on blue 3m pad with great results. Hope this helps

See below the thread where we resolved the hazey paintwork!

Menzerna can be temperature sensitive but when worked properly are brilliant. I've always go for menzerna polishes with either 3M Megs or Lake Country pads.

:happy2: ive got a little bit hazing on one of my doors i wonder if this is due to it being polished previously ? are you not a fan of the menzera polish then ?
I might go for the meguires, 83, 80 & 82 on finishing and polishing pads, its not too bad so this should do the trick

Hazing could be anything. I used to get hazing from not letting Supernatural cure enough before buffing hence it would "gas" or form a haze.
