Thinking of a mkV - DSG and tuning

<< < (2/3) > >>

c.b:
Cheers fellas

Been having a look round and the ed30 fetch quite a premium so I'm not sure what to do, originally I planned to just add a couple of k to mine so max 11k, but I used to have a mk4 diesel and if I always regretted not spending the extra bit on the anni model as it kept its value so much better, but if I was spending that sort of money I'm tempted to stretch to a 335d coupe.

Anyway if I was to get a standard mk5 DSG will I find Xenons and paddles as standard or is this something I will have to hunt for as I wouldnt consider a car without both.

Top Cat:
Neither mod is cheap. You will need a new steering wheel and controller for the paddles and the xenon's are not cheap either second hand. Both mods have been done on here quite a lot though. So all the info is here.  :happy2:

vRS Carl:
You may find a car with both but they were not standard fit on a Standard GTi as far as im aware.

Someone more in the know will confirm no doubt

Janner_Sy:
there are plenty of guys who can retrofit the parts though, if you can get hold of them off ebay or a scrappy

hi

I Recently joined the mk5 gti stable a few weeks back, in answer to your question above mine is spec'd from factory with dsg, flappy paddles on steering wheel and xenons.

Although took me a while to find one with this spec, DSG, Xenons, elec seats, sunroof, puddle lights, folding mirrors, etc, i'm sure they are out there

You will find the spec your after eventually.

By the way auto gearboxes have never been my cup of tea, but i totally love the DSG
