Blade,s Polo GTi 180 DSG

Hurdy:
I went to Awesome GTI last week and they have fitted bigger brakes to the new Polo GTI and said that basically anything that fits the MKIV platform fits straight onto the Polo GTI and that includes the carriers :jumpmove:

This means I can go for TAROX 6 pots, DS2500's and 312mm discs

Also costed up another £4k of mods too whilst there

Already bought the 1st mod....Race version of the lower engine mount.

That is a lovely car you have, well done.

I'll find a better pic, but here's a TT/R32/LCR cast wishbone on a standard pressed steel MKIV one. You'll note it is longer, that's where you're getting your camber from, it isn't adjustable though.

Also note the wishbone bush, looks quite big and sloppy? It is. Ideally you'd want the very early TT wishbones as they have a much smaller bush (they were all recalled and swapped out for 'safer' big bush versions), but you can buy Defcon reducers to use the early TT bush - it's almost like running solid links, the turn in and feel is amazing.

Their hubs also are different and change the roll centre of the car, allowing you to go low and not suffer the vile MKIV trait of bumpsteer.

I guess you need to see what you have already to decide how far to go? But there's the LCR quickrack (requires someone good with coding) and it also had different rear beam bushes. Don't go poly on these, they absolutely don't work.

If you're at Coombe next weekend, have a word with Team Bora (I should be there too) - they've totally refitted the car with all these mods and considering it has cock all power, it doesn't half get around a track quickly. I've driven it on the Ring and around a few tracks, it's like no MKIV chassis car I've ever driven.

The TT wishbones have some camber adjustment in them  :happy2: The slotted holes are in the arms instead of the ball joints like on the Mk2 TT.
They should be compatible with the std hubs or with the TT hubs that have a lower ball joint position for improved geometry.

Did someone mention 1/4 mile times? . . . Dya fancy a trip to York late August Ryan ??? There is a RWYB on the 26th i think

EDIT ; Got the dates wrong, RWYB is on AUG 7th and 28/29th Sun/Mon
