Milky looking foglights ?

Chaps,

In doing the headlight swap a couple of days ago, I got down low at the front of the car and noticed that the front foglights had a milky appearance (see below)

Now I know they are covered in small stone chips, inevetable after 57,000 miles and nearly 6 years, but don't think it's just that. I've tried cleaning them, and even had a quick go with my DA polisher and Mezerna Intensive Polish. It did restore some of the clarity, but 30 minutes later they looked the same again. I thought it might have been condensation, but brought one in the house last night fully dried it with a hairdrier, and this morning it looked the same again ?

Here's what the drivers side one looked light straight after polishing (before it turned milky again)

Any one any ideas what to use to bring them back rather than having to purchase new ?

I'd take them back abit with some fine wet and dry sand paper. (by hand)

Polish them again with the menz and DA

Then most importantly, seal them so it wont happen again  :happy2:

Keano,

I was dreading someone saying wet sanding

Never done it before and thought I might wreck them completely. Out of interest, what would you seal them with ?

Cheers

Andrew

keano:
Myself? hmm. I'd probably use a few coats of Jetseal or something like that :happy2:

If you hang on i'll find you a little guide I did.
