Gt or gt sport?

Yep that is confusing,ive just bought a gt sport badge for the front and back of the car but i hate making my car to be something its not!bloody vw they just make me  :sick:

looking at you're front bumper in you're avatar i would say it wasnt a GTsport as all the gtsports have the gti bumper with different grills  :happy2:

upto 07/57 plate cras there use to be :

GT
Sport

Mainly the difference is/was trim and extras.

From 57 on ward they combined the two and came up with the GT Sport.

Easy way to tell what you have, if you have the tinted rear windows as factory you have a GT Sport. Also the GT Sport has the GTi shape front grille.

The Badging on the rears are different too:

GT _____________ Golf < pre 57

Golf____________ 2.0 TDi >57 on - 140 bhp version hidden exhausts
Golf____________ 2.0 Tdi (red 'i') - 170 bhp version visable exhausts
Golf____________ GT is the 1.4 TSi all power ratings visable exhausts

Any 1.9 engined mk5's are badged as :

Golf____________TDi 105bhp hidden exhausts
