Sunset Red 1.4 TSI(TFSI) GT Sport - daily drive & track car
the bruce:
Don't be afraid of the stitching.
You can easily change the leather (leather-like vinyl) separately from the knob.
I changed mine my self when fitting the ED30 knob as I didn't like the red stitching as well.

Thank you very much guys for you thoughts. You gave me some great ideas. :drinking:
I will leave the knob for now as I have a lot of money to spend on the upcoming Nring + Spa trip and for some other small things (wheel bearings, paintjob, suspension setting, etc). Hope everything is done in time for the track days.
Cheers :drinking:

. Same here Jake!
And to keep you updated, I was 'carless' for almost 2 weeks. I decided to fix all the imperfections regrading the paintwork and the car was at my dealer for almost 2 weeks. I occasionally drove other cars but I really missed mine.
And today the dealer called me and told me the car was ready .
They fixed:
- the roof (ice fell on my roof from a truck on the Ungarian Highway some time ago)
- the front right fender, right and left door, rear bumper, rear valance, hood, front bumper, right side mirror were painted because of the various marks (stone clips, small scratches)
- the wind shield and front right fog light were replaced also because of stone chips.
The dealer also painted the ED30 front valance. I have to tell you, this is a great looking valance. I just love it! The car seems much lower and IMO looks much better. Finally the car is looking as it should have looked from the beginning.
Here are some pour quality photos (I will make some better ones but I am so thrilled that I wanted to share this information right now)
And just after I took the car from the dealer I started the Nring + Spa preparations.
First I had some mechanical issues to attend... So I went to my mechanic to install some new bearing for the front axle. The front right bearing was in a real bad shape so I decided to change both sides. I think tracking, the bad roads I am traveling (even if I am going quite slow), the extra camber and the spacers all had to do with the bearing failure.
Next I will have an alignment, CAI installation and I am good to go :).
Thanks for watching!
