Yup, I intend to solve the issues but if not I will just go like the last trip (a little bit slower and changing at 6000 RPM).
I may have misled you. I am not sure it is Cylinder No 4. I only know I might have issues on one cylinder but I am not sure yet which one.

Usually it has been cylinder 4 on the forums...furthest right as you look under the bonnet.

I've cleaned my track wheels and tires and this is what I found:

I was really lucky because it did not cause a puncture. The screw is caught in the excess rubber collected from the track so no damage to the tire. I only went on the Hungaroring track so I am glad I collected this screw and not somebody actually racing over there.

This is one of the disadvantages of buying expensive track tires. If you manage to puncture them there are a lot of money lost...

Are they your new Direzza's ! :surprised: i used to get quite a bit of tread beading with mine but not as much as that, i thought your car was a fair bit lighter than my GTI.
Perhaps i wasn't trying hard enough.  :rolleye:

Well, It should be a little bit lighter than a GTI. But the rear should be identical...
Those are the rear tires and I always collect rubber with the rear tires. In fact, I have more rubber on the rear tires at the end of the track day than in the beginning  .

Maybe you didn't push hard and the rear tires never got warm enough to collect a lot of rubber...
Anyway... I don't think this is a good indication of how fast we are going. It might be that there is not much rubber on the track for us to collect...

So, as I said before I like to work on the car when I have the time and here is my last update...

Because of the rollbar installation there were some estetic issues. First of all the rear seats came off and I had to do something about the space. Second of all the interior was trimmed to acommodate the roll bar. These gaps had to be covered.

Here are some photos...

As you can see now I have a very big trunk  :innocent:.
Unfortunately I could not make the trunk at the same level because the piece sitting where the back seats sat is taken from a friends S3 (Adrian since some of you know him) and the S3 has a higher trunk due to the 4WD system. I trimmed the piece but this is as low as I could get. Anyway, this is good enough for me...

As you can see the carpet is not closed around the rollbar because I still want access to the rollbar nuts and bolts. I will probably use some velcro to bring the two pieces closer together.

So one step closer to having the car just the way I like it .
Comments are welcomed and thanks for watching!

So, yesterday the tests were finally finished. Spark plugs are ok, injectors are ok, camshaft is ok.
But, the mechanic found some issues when measuring the cylinders compression:

Cylinder No1 - 7,5 bar (I think bar is the measuring unit)
Cylinder No2 - 10 bar
Cylinder No3 - 10 bar
Cylinder No4 - 9,5 bar

So it looks like the valves (at least at Cylinder 1 and 4) are not working ok. I will clean them as soon as possible and than redo the test.

Took a look today with my mechanic in VW technical papers and it seems a difference of 3bar between cylinders is accepted !?!? That's quite weird so I read it 2 times to be sure !

Any guidelines as to what pressure they should be running. I'm sure when I had mine tested they were 175-180psi = 12.4bar  but it may be that mine run a higher pressure than yours?
