Well, it is easier to have a software update than to take the gearbox off the car.
The software update (for my ECU so not for a newer version of car) did the trick so now I have a 100% functional car  :pomppomp:.

There is one think I do not like, though... The car vibrates a little bit at idle speed. The engine speed is a constant 640RPM but it seems to shiver a little bit (I might be just me)

Thank you my friend! Yes, the Sunset red car is running again with a 2010 engine
I have to change the software because it stock at the moment. I will pay the REVO guys a visit in the following weeks. Seeing what happened to Jake, I am thinking not to do a dyno run this time with winter tires...

Yes, 640 RPM and 0.3l/h  :happy2:.

I'm not sure it's down to the type of tyre. But they are 2 years old and can have had a damage, but 2 new tyres are now fitted  :happy2:
It's great you car is running again  :congrats:

Over the top mod list ;o)

Well, as I previously said, a crankshaft wheel was different on this newer 1.4 TSI engine and I needed a VW factory software update to solve the issue. This meant I no longer had the REVO software.
This problem was solved today... I visited my REVO friends to have a software update based on the factory update. So now, the car is pretty much as it was before the engine problems:

The car seems to have gained 8 bhp but it may be the newer engine or the fact that this dyno was made at 10 degrees Celsius and the last one was made at 35 degrees Celsius .
Thanks for watching!  :drinking:

Not an easy task, I'm afraid... the swap (and prior swap stuff) was much more expensive than I thought...
I hope to sell a few of the remaining parts to get back on track, financially speaking...

May I recommend you to row a boat or hijack an aircraft instead of paying for the ticket ? The holiday will be much cheaper and you'll get to improve your physical condition for the incoming track days !  :jumpmove:

Thank you very much, my friend! Interesting reading!

I already have the future plans for the car but, unfortunately, the engine swap was a very expensive deal and I am still recovering from that. I will tell you the plans as I go...
At the moment, I am planing on doing the brake ducts. Found a hub and now I need to buy/get one extra mud guard and start working...  :driver:
