cold air

<< < (3/4) > >>

Jack Frost:
I think you'll find that when you turn a corner then one wheel will be channelling the air towards the centre of the car. As there is only one hole in the floor i.e where the gearstick pops through, then the air is forced through it - thus you feel the cold draught coming up through the floor when you corner.

tony_danza:
^ LOL.

And the world is flat, the moon is made of cheese and a pig has just flown past my house!!

In the nicest possible way, sit and have a think about what you've just wrote.

Jack Frost:
Yoy think this is incorrect ? If it was cold air being stirred up when cornering then it would be doing the same when you accelerate and brake surely  :P The only way air will move in the car is when a window is open or you have a fan running.

tony_danza:
If you were allowed to leave school believing that, then I have lost all faith in our education system. That's 1st year physics.

Oh, and have a look under your gearstick gaitor, the hole you imagine is there really isn't.

ongoing:
seem to have sorted it by having the heating on feet and windscreen
