sounds ok to me , keep thinking about the vwr one at £1500 could get same thing for £800 , tempted !!!!!

....You need to compare apples with apples and oranges with oranges etc.

The VWR cost of £1,461.61 (just under £1,500) is for the more expensive DSG version and this price includes both vat and installation and DSG oil+filter service.

By the time you've imported and paid taxes etc on a 'cheaper' one from across the pond, you've had more hassle and won't have saved much plus you've then got the problem of finding someone to install it who will support it afterwards (not a reasonable request to make of anyone!).

Can get them new from the states for $900+ shipping and import duty.

....And who is going to fit it for you and also be willing to offer aftersales support?

....

If the Quaife has been used, how well will it mesh into your DSG box of tricks? I don't know the answer but it's a serious consideration.

You'd also probably be out on your own up Sh!t Creek without a paddle if there was a problem.

QD MBE:
The above diff is for a manual car, and my view is that when you have fitted it, will it work?

If it doesn't the issue then, is was the installation ok, or was the diff defective prior?  Fight it out between two parties, not an easy one.

I would rather have it fitted by a company who sourced the diff new, and fitted for me.  Therefore any problems, and you only have to approach the one company, and they will be able to vouch for the fitting company.

£400 is ok, but not cheap enough to make the above decison easy, rather have peace of mind, and use a reputable company, with a bit of history behind them.

Hurdy:
If I could have it for £400 and it was a DSG, then I'd seriously be tempted :jumping:
