Angel Tuning Remaps....
RagingKileak:
I once had an Angel Tuning map. Chap came up from wherever, mapped my car and it started slipping the clutch. He unmapped it and went home FOC.
I then fixed the cars clutch and called him again. He came back and mapped it again - this time no probs. All in all, I thought it was good service.
Regarding Revo... I have a Revo car and can't complain there either. Not sure I would have chosen them from a blank canvas (too pricey and seem to deny all wrong if you have problems) but as my car was stage 1 when I bought her, I was delighted to go to stage 2+ on a Revo map.
Perhaps its this kind of more highly strung car that your 'proper' tuners Excel at. Revo will see 10x the number of stage 2 cars than Angel.
And remember this.... I write marketing blurb for a living. If I had taken my remapped Golf on a track day at Millbrook just once, I'd consider that licence to claim it was 'tested at Millbrook proving ground' - which is not to day the product is bad.... just, you know, don't believe everything you read.
Balls on the block from a clean slate, my car would be running GIAC or maybe, just maybe Shark Performance.

no worries TC......If I was having a moan..I'm more direct as well..
Not seen any GIAC dealers around here though did look at them.....Shark seems to be the same price as Revo.
Think I'll give Angel a go after the service and then do a full review for you all.....
They also do an offer for two cars.....if anyone else wants to jump in as well....

I've heard good and bad about a lot of companies. Revo seem to get a lot of praise but also some unhappy customers on stage 2+ but they do have the monopoly on here.
I'm sure you'll be fine with Angel :)
Carrera2RS:
I moved from a cheaper map to a REVO and realised why they have the reputation they do. I agree with the price but if your car owes you nearly £20k is saving £200 with an unknown risk worth it ? Can you try both and see ?
I think Revo have a 5 hour trial period. I personally wouldn't bother looking for cheap again.......... (But then again I wouldn't move away from apple either)
