Great  :sad1:

So an induction kit would be needed for true use?

Basically yes, though you won't be dissapointed once you do get one!

Problem is when I had it mapped today they said the map was not far from pushing the limits of the fuel pump and after reading some threads an intake might add another 15-20bhp. Don't (DON'T) want to get a HPFP....too expensive. Might go for a cat back when the existing one dies...(hopefully in the summer)....

Just wanted a slightly better air intake.  :sad1:

John, where are you based? Am sure you are near someone who can demo a CAI kit.

Uxbridge

the torque is what causes you limitations and fuel cut.

You have lower torque than some of the other brands of map, so adding an intake will not cause you any issue.  Most of the gains from an intake are at the top of the rev range where fuel cut isnt an issue as well.  The problems with fuel cut usually occur around 3500-4000rpm.

Definitely a good mod to buy, no map adjustment needed as the ECU will adjust itself
