MK6 steering wheel on to a MK5

That is the problem.

You have a loom from a MFSW

You need a loom without the black plug, try using your old one

At last got my horn working had to fit a new wiring loom to the airbag and that was it.thanks to everyone that helped especially Gareth at www.vwcruise.com check this guy out for retro fitting vw stuff he,s spot on  :happy2:

Although there are people on here that will do retrofitting cheaper than those guys  :grin:

Hey Colin, just resurrecting this thread!

So to fit a Mk6 Non MF wheel to a Mk5 Non MF manual car, then no mods are needed as long as you have the correct airbag loom?

I was under the impression that if you wanted to fit any Mk6 wheel (even Non MF) you needed a C revision Slip ring and an updated CH steering wheel control module..

I'm not too fussed by multi function as I have an aftermarket stereo anyway. If this was plug and play then I'd definitely do this mod!
