Fuel Cut on Stage 1???

Could be lads...will test over the next few days and see how we go.

Out of interest, Paramount told me the other day that they write their maps for 95RON petrol for flexibility.

If they tweaked it again for 98RON would I see even more gains?

E30Dom:
Yeah would defo see more gains, surprised it's not written for 98 to start with...

Will be on the blower tomorrow.......

They've only just started with the VAG cars as they've primarily Astons, Ferraris, Jags etc.....though want to get into the more mainstream cars.

They've done their Audi TT 2.0 TFSi and now mine, great lads and willing to tweak and try new things so will get them to have a go....

Thanks gents...

The GTi is a 97RON car as stock so I'd expect the map to be designed to utilise 97 at a minimum.  Most will expect you to use 98/99 for best results.

But in answer to your original question it is entirely possible to get fuel cut with what you consider to be a stage 1 map.  There aren't really defined parameters for stage 1 mapping so yours could be more aggressive.

Would it be a consistent issue or intermittent? As it's happened once and I;ve done power runs from 2k to 6k numerous times and nothing happening.
