Is there much of a delay in the kickdown when the dsg is in normal auto mode?

Almost none. The DSG is very clever and when you put your foot down, boy does it go.

Hmmm that's thrown the cat amongst the pigeons. Just got to consider possible reliability of them.
I get the feeling this site is going to cost me money! Ha ha
