Fitting an Intake
marka87uk:
Hi,
Is there a guide on fitting an intake anywhere?
I basically just need to know if I'll be able to do it myself or if it's a bit tricky!
big al:
Depends what you go for, Which you thinking of?
I am a complete dunce when it comes to cars, and I have fitted a BSH intake and a twintake myself.
They are really pretty self explanatory. :happy2:
bacillus:
Just get the proper pliers for removing the clamp at the turbo side and everything should be straight forward even for a novice. It's possible to not need the pliers but they really makes the job so much easier.
marka87uk:
Thanks! What do you mean by proper pliers?
I've bought a Neuspeed P-Flo intake. I assume as you say it's fairly easy to fit but I don't want to have any problems! ...And I don't really want to pay garage labour costs if I could do it myself either!
big al:
That's a pretty straightforward one to fit, just unclip the air intake pipe at the rear end, closest to the windscreen.
Remove the sensor, take off the cover, and probably using jubilee clips fix the new one in.
