If the Nikon suits then all's well and good. Only you will know.
Regarding reading, the first book I read was Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson.
It will teach you all you need to know for now and the future. :smiley:

It is a 35mm book, but the way you do it is the same...its just a digital outcome
