Passenger side foot rest
« on: March 09, 2009, 08:42:44 am »
OK, this may be a stupid question so I'll apologise in advance if it is

The interior of my car on the lower half is a cream (Pure beige I think It's called) finish. I've noticed for a while now that when I have a passenger, inevetibly their feet end up resting on the foot well trim to the left and I end up with it looking very dirty and mudy, and am forever cleaning it !.

I know that on LHD GTI's and R32's, that this is a foot rest (see pic below, stolen from another forum)

Anyone know if it would be possible to get something like this adapted for a RHD vehicle, or do you think it would look totally naff ?

Yes you can get them for RHD.

Check out Ebay, but avoid the ones from Australia. Or do a search for a chap called Gulfstream on here as he sells them.

Or you could try OSIR, they also do them, but not cheap.

I think you misunderstood as he has a rhd car and wants to put the footrest on the passanger side.

I suspect the lhd footrest should fit but don't know for sure. iirc they are not expensive so you may just have to get it and hope it fits without too much tinkering.
Without traction power is nothing!

Thanks for the reply Moschops but the other guys are correct, I have a RHD and just wanted to know about fitting something in the left hand footrest.

I'd forgotten about Gulf (he made my footrest for the drivers side). Thank's TC and Bacillus  :happy2:
