Reflex silver Tdi with a hint of .:R
w80ody:
Hello folks!
Thought I’d start a thread showing the bit and bobs I’ve done to my GT Tdi.
Bought the car just over 2years ago; at the time I was looking for a Mk4 R32 or Mk5 Gti and came across this one which had already had an R32 kit & leather interior. In hindsight it’s been a good decision as my annual mileage is way higher than I estimated despite working oversea half the year!
Before I bought it, it had:
Full R32 bodykit incl rear lights and leather interior
I’ve added:
Eibach Pro Springs
Custom centre back stainless exhaust with 4" milltek style tips
Bluefin remap
R32/Gti rear spoiler
Gti darkened headlights
Removed the front fogs that were fitted previously.
Stubby aeriel
Centre armrest and roller tray cover
Had a Neuspeed filter on and just swapped over to a friends K&N performance airbox
Have 4 sets of wheels I juggle between:
Winter:
17” Audi S4 Avus with Dunlop WinterSports
Summer:
18” Genuine R32 18 Zolders
18” Genuine Audi RS6 style S lines in A3 et54 fitment
18” BBS CH reps
Current plans are:
Looking for a Gti brake setup as finding the Tdi setup a little inadequate on the roads up north!
Remove at least front tints, previous owner put them on and I can never make my mind up on them.
Custom R32 grille: ebay buy that had damaged lower slats replaced with crappy looking mesh and sprayed matt black. Looked ok but playing with a few ideas and will get it wrapped when I'm next home.
Eibach Sportlines: picked up a set to see how it looks a touch lower.
Just fitted a 2 post lift in the new workshop I’m fitting out with 2mates which now means I can play musical alloys more often!
Anyway, here's when car was first purchased: silly looking front fogs, no spoiler or dark headlights and sitting too high
After fitting the eibach pro springs
Had a custom exhaust made up for it; sounds surprisingly good (for a diesel)
Fitted Gti headlights as I hated the original silver ones
At same time fitted a Neuspeed filter - plenty of room to get access with lights out!
Summer spec with BBS CH reps
Winter spec with Audi S4 wheels with winter treads
A few pics of the Golf in winter wonderland
After a long winter it was ready for a bath!!
Put back on the BBS a few weeks ago with the help of our 2 post lift now installed in workshop
But they didn't stay on for long when a set of A3 offset S lines came up for sale locally and this is how car currently stands
Comments/suggestions welcome

Hi there welcome along to this excellent forum :happy2:

Very nice,
personally I prefer the BBS look to the s-line wheels though but from experience the s-lines are easier to clean :happy2:

Cheers for the comments
I bought the BBS wheels from scoty on here, had them on for last summer, still like them but a little bored of them. And yes your right the S lines are far easier to clean!
Golfman; I see your in Dundee…I’m passing through all the time due to girlfriend in St Andrews & sister in Broughty Ferry: will have to pop in by when I’m next home and see your specced up golf!
Not really that much plans for inside already has full r32 leather and armrest; would love a complete solution for linking iPhone to headunit but would need to change can gateway & swap my iPod dock for MDI before I can fit an RCD510
