golfman:
welcome enjoy the forum :happy2:

snapey:
Just get a hair dryer over the badges to soften to glue behind and an old credit card etc to peel it away, bit of meths, white spirit or petrol over the excess adhesive to get rid of it and polish over it and top off with a fine coat of wax, should be all that’s too it.

If you use an air gun be very careful over the time it's hovering over the badge, don’t want to blister the paint, but you'd have to be daft to do that.

Also, welcome  :happy2:

have just bought some more cleaning products, so will give her a clean + debadge and take some more snaps.

car hasnt been without problems but am still thrilled with it.

the coil packs went 5 days into owning the car,

now have one of the tyres leaking on the join with the alloy - was reseated and that seems to have fixed it for now = fingers crossed..

couple of things ive noticed on the car but it could just be me being paranoid - firstly this might sound stupid or maybe some other owners have noticed this but when i first start my car it sounds alot like a Diesel

also am getting a bit of rubbing when im hard lock left....

and finally MPG.. not sure if this is typical of the GTI but ive probably done about 90 miles and used half a tank.  this has all been in london traffic but am getting average mgp on all my journeys of less than 22mpg..

the car has had the WALD conversion but still can it get as low as this??

Unfortunately a known problem with mk5. Make sure all coil packs are replaced - replacing a faulty one somehow precipitates the failure of the others.

Get it checked out. Shouldn't happen.

Depends on driving style (ie how hard you're pressing with the right foot). I used to get something similar in a stop-start journey over 5 miles on a 10 mile commute to work.
25mpg is typical around town.
30-35mpg is more typical on DC/motorways but you still have to be prudent.
