Is this the method u use,? See I have no cloths or anything and don't know how to use any products. I've just signed onto detailing world and seems like too much info. What sort of chamois or cloths would you recomed to put on and rub off polish. I also have a spinning buffer machine but was unsure if it's to apply or rub off the polish

Yes. Don't use microfibre cloths for the polish as this will remove some of it, which you don't want. Get some detailing cloths from halfrauds.
For the EGP/Wax etc you can use microfibre cloths - use a clean one to apply and a clean one to buff off for each product. Tescos do them 2 for £2 in the household cleaning section. Much cheaper than £4 for one cloth from halfrauds.

Sorry - use microfibre for everything - If you use none microfibre you run the risk of scratching and marring the paint (not good especially when you have done all the work to get the car right)
i bought
ag shampoo
wheel foamcleaner and ag wheel seal
agsuper resin ploish
ag extra gloss protection
ag aqua wax
men deep crystal carnuba wax 3
got me micro fibres/foam mittt and wheel brush.
This is all ok (although as you have said you could replace as you go along with better (in my opinion) and more user friendly products.)
To start i wouldnt worry about the deep crystal and aqua wax just do every thing above that in your list - use the aqua wax as a top up when you wash the car.

thanks mate
how often do you reckon to redo what i just done?
i was thinking wash and aqua wax weekly and hit with all the above once per month or just wait till beading wears off and redo?
thanks in advance

Hi
Yep, Spot on with the wash and aqua wax weekly - the aqua wax will help keep up the protection - I would also every month redo the extra gloss protection (1 or 2 coats)but do the SRP once every 3-6 months as the SRP will remove the layers you have built up.
Hope this helps

fanx for the advice jim. mucho gracias.
have noticed that altho the car is super clean, witv everyone commenting....the car was very dusty quickly, more than before i did the do on sunday.
is it how i did it?
or the products i used ?
or its just been dryer ie no rain and theres more dust /dirt flying about?
stoopid newbie question but???

No it's not a stupid question!
As it's dryer and has been raining so much the water tends to wash all the muck everywhere, so as it dries the wind picks it up and throws it everywhere... plus you've done all that hard work, got the car sparkling and because it's cleaner you notice the dirt much easier.
If it is a problem, you could use a Quick Detailer, possibly the Aqua Wax, to gently remove the dust with micofibres.
All the best
Jim :happy2:
