Edit - Just read your edited post above.  excellent.

I think the light depends on software versions in the CECM or Dash Insert.

I prefer the way yours is now.  I would leave the switch on at all times and then when you use CC you get the light on.

Yes, actually CC works :)
And the CC works only when light in on.
CC can be "on" but no working, have to push - for working.

I think it will be good.
