What suspension ?
« on: March 12, 2009, 06:31:09 pm »
I am currently running a 140TDI standard suspension, i quite like the ride comfort at present but don't like the appearance.

So this is my problem, what can i do to make the car lower and not dramatically effect the comfort of ride!

i am currently running 18" oem Monza's and am planning on fitting the R32 rear end and exhaust, having scoured all the forums and seen r32 rears on both lowered and standard height suspension, i really do want the car to be lower!

Hopefully you guys having modified your cars on various springs & coilovers can assisit me with your feedback.

The eibach pro springs drop your car by 20-30mm whilst retaining the oem ride feel and can safely be used with the oem shocks.

That being said, I'm not sure if they make springs for your model so you'll have to check.
Without traction power is nothing!

....

Eibach make Pro-Kit springs for the 2.0TDI, I don't know about the 1.4.

Is it virtually the same engine, and therefore weight?

If you want a drop that looks really good, you will have to compromise on comfort.

I'd go for coilovers, as you obviously have control of the ride height.
