taking the wheel off doesn't take too long, and allows great access to all the bits and pieces!
afraid no sealant, thats one thing i haven't got..... any suggestions?

Gtechniq C5, expensive but lasts 12 months plus, superb stuff.
Dont bother with autoglym wheel seal etc, worthless.
Otherwise Finishkare 1000p high temp sealant, bargain and best option if gtechniq is a bit pricey for you.
parks:
C5 for the plastics and 1000p for the alloys?
stealthwolf:
1000P can be applied to brake calipers and to the alloy wheels. Very good sealant. I use it on the paintwork.

C5 for wheels mate, if not FK1000p on them.
Plastics you could use Gtechniq C4.

I have been using the Wolfs Decon gel which I think is the old brake duster. good stuff stinks though, not as bad as IronX that flipping awfull.
