Forge Twintercooler with Revo Stage 2

<< < (4/5) > >>

Carrera2RS:
I have taken the twintercooler off, why ?

Well I found the mapping for stage 2 better with no additional cooler, it does not feel quite as strong in the mid with it removed but a little crisper. I also did not want to move to Stage 2+ as I am just fitting VWR front brakes and I feel 300-315 hp is enough.

I suspect the twintercooler works best with more boost and a higher stage of tune, I was going to fit a THS but, there seemed no point unless you want to go beyond stage 2. My exhaust gas temps do not warrant an additional cooler.

It will be in the adds with pictures tonight  :happy2:

PDT:
Its intake temps the cooler helps with, not exhaust gas temps.

Carrera2RS:
 Your probably right

not probably, definitely.  The cooler lowers inlet air temps

Carrera2RS:
I am well aware that this lowers intake temp, it is the point of an intercooler !

This will reduce initial combustion temp and hence reduce the likelihood of knock, I can see why EGT's might be lower on the same boost, timing settings. Unless ofcourse the final combustion temp is not materially different.
