Niki @ R-Tech advised me that the KO4 conversion is complete, so booked my train tickets for tomorrow. Can’t wait to drive it
What do they charge mate for the conversion?

To do just the Turbo conversion is £450+vat. I also supplied ALL the required parts inc Turbo.
I’ve had that done, new ac rad, new ic, new injectors, inlet/valve walnut blast, new thermostat, new o/s wheel bearing and fitting and re fabrication of milly R32 exhaust. On top of that the STG2+ mapping. Now running 352hp/379tq

That’ll be the Bernoulli effect in action. Lower gas speed in larger diameter tubing causing low speed torque / response to drop off.

Surely this would occur for any intake though?

Bought a 55' GTI few weeks ago and done maintenance slowly: oil, oil filter, front brake discs, pads, shields and caliper carrier bolts. Today I replaced my Cam follower and the condition looked brand new which was a huge relief due to no receipt or mention of it being replaced; replaced it with a brand new one anyway for complete peace of mind.

Changed the pollen filter. Thing was pretty filthy. New rear wiper blade on too.

Now to find out what the squeal is under full load...

Surely this would occur for any intake though?

It does.  It's not just the pipe diameter that affects throttle response/torque, it's also the length of the intake path.  The OEM intake is very short.  At least 30% shorter than most of the bath sponge on a drain pipe kits out there.

Most people only care about peak gains on the dyno and whooshing / sucking noises, so don't care about a loss of bottom end response.

I thought if I bought a forge intake it would have had that taken into consideration anyone wanna buy a twintake
