Anyone have a bulb recommendation for the interior boot one? Had looked at this 42mm 8SMD one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-4-6-Festoon-CANBUS-36-39-41MM-CW5-5050-Light-Bulb-Interior-Number-Plate-White/172214358971?var=471044670272

Anyone got any idea what the spark plugs are gapped too when you have a stage 1 (apr) map?

They don't need gapping, just bung em' in.
Well I tried this but the power is cut at like 5.5k... almost like its hitting limiter early :(

Did you solve your problem in the end?

Think I had this problem briefly when my car was sat during the winter.

Ollie

I went to R-Tech, for Walnut blasting, Injector cleaning, and remapping.

The cars now 321hp and 347ft/lbs. Stock it was making 250hp with the exhaust

How long did that all take?

Another oil and filter change. Also did a dsg service using vcds to check the temp of the oil so the level was correct. That dsg oil stinks.

@bobby_fodge  About 10 yr ago I worked at a VW main dealer, the first time I did a DSG oil change, I'd seen the other guys use an air line blower into the special tool to 'help' the oil go in a bit faster.

I used too much pressure in the blower and split the plastic bottle. DSG oil went everywhere.

You're right it does stink.

I used a tool off ebay, tubing with metal connectors on either end, one went onto the bottle of oil, the other screwing into the drain/fill hole in the gearbox.

When I finished filling it still I managed to cover my hands, arms and floor in oil.

Fluid coming out was darker then that i put in. It's been 20k miles and 18 months since the last change and the gearchange is noticeably smoother now. VW say the service interval is 40k miles, hmm.

Mine has just tipped over 40k so is due. Be interesting to see if it does smooth it out!

Strong numbers  :happy2:

Mine made exactly 230ps (what's that, 227hp?) on my shop's dyno, as VW quoted, but let's not go there

Mine did 239hp on my local Maha dyno stock with cat-back Milltek, Maha's are usually quite conservative.

When it was stock it showed about 181 g/s on the MAF which is roughly 226hp as above.

After remap it was 310hp but shows around 243 g/s which is about 303 hp - it's there or there abouts for a stage 1.
