Front Boxster calipers fitted with HEL braided lines and Ferrodo ds2000 pads and some drilled and grooved discs.

I bought the calipers from the US of States as even including delivery it was still cheaper than getting a pair off ebay. I refurbished and sprayed them myself as I couldn't justify the cost of BCS or Bigg Redd doing them.
Need pictures!!

Hopefully this will show the newly fitted Boxster calipers

Still running 330mm discs? Did you have any issues with wheel clearance?

Stock discs are 312, which i've stuck with. I think I can go up to 330mm using Merc discs if I fit a spigot ring to account for the different centre bore.

Wheel clearance is fine. I did have the 18 inch Monzas when I bought the calipers and read on here that those wheels would also have cleared the new brakes.

Replaced the Rear drivers side brake dust shield ... All 3 screws had rusted through and so I did a fair number of miles with no support. Sounded terrible but was only rubbing on the disc edge slightly. At the same time got the garage to change the rear drop links as the bushes were worn. Good job I did as they had to drill the bolt on the plain bush end. Its all about looking after the little things  :happy2:

Put some wind deflectors on, and also changed stock induction kit to the Ramair induction kit.

So far, so good. A few little tweaks before I can get the K04 on and get it to stage 2+ from R-Tech.

Can't wait

Finally booked my R-Tech visit for stage1 ... wasn't well before Christmas so had to cancel the last visit. Cant wait to release those horses  I am a keep it fairly standard kind of guy so no intake mods, just a Helix organic and will pop a new paper filter in. I read a lot about panel filters and I reckon if you change a paper one every 6 months they're fine.

Done the pre-cat delete on my GTI, defo notice a small difference. Turbo picks up slightly quicker, notice it through gear changes (manual) how the turbo is back on instantly.

Tried doing a boost leak test too, my pump wouldn’t build enough pressure.. probably didn’t have enough ummff vs leakage somewhere. I did find a small air leak coming from the front of the vacuum pump. Where the plastic nipple comes out of the pump. Not sure if I can replace that plus a seal separately or whether the whole pump will need to be replaced.

Oh nothing much. Except spotting a BIG A** NAIL IN THE TYRE😭!

BRAND NEW PS4s AND WHAT DO I GET, A GIGANTIC NAIL. FUMING 🙄😩😔.

I also gave it a little wash which brought the car back to life ... Need to either get the tyre repaired or purchase a new tyre. Yay me  :fighting:

MOT passed with no advisories again, still have a dodgy door lock but I can get it open by doing a dance on the unlocking button whilst pulling the interior door handle  :signLOL: Worked on the MOT anyway.

That is mega annoying.  I've had 2 slow punctures on my PS4s for months now.  Can't be bothered with the hassle of repair so will just wear them down and worry about it when it comes to replacement time    Might try the Eagle F1 Assy 5s next.  Seem to get good reviews.

Busy Friday Blaupunkt head unit and dab+ module arrived
tightened a couple of bolts underneath  needing doing for a couple of weeks
rubbed down lower front wing and painted.  New wing later on in the year, perhaps
Alloys need a colour change from dk anthracite to something a bit lighter

Had the car 2 years today. Covered 10k miles in it so far.

Only things I've done are :

Both rear ABS sensors & hubs (twice on nsr)
Left hand intercooler hose kept popping off. (New hose £70!)
Plugs and coils causing misfire after Stage 1 remap.
Passenger door lock faulty (new one to fit) (£megabucks)

So overall not too bad for a 12 year old car.

The worst part is that it's in the sidewall so I managed to get a puncture repair on it and going to keep that up until I need a new set then should replace all 4. Hate doing a single tyre at a different time. Yes, the Eagle F1 Assy 5s have had good reviews for sure, I was thinking that also but the PS4s run so well on mine, guess we shall have to wait and see  :driver:
