interior was in need for a refresh so
re-trimmed interior seats, door-cards and armrests with leather and interlagos cloth

Where did you get the cloth from?

from this guy, he ships from mexico (stemlio):
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254875015218
They seem very good, they don't come with any foam layer attached, just the cloth.

Booked in with Rtech for December, going for the inlet and injector cleaning alongside a map.

I have all the hardware for stage 2+ so it should feel a decent jump from standard.

And after speaking to Rtech I have just fitted the RAMAIR oversize intake. I'll have to see if I can live with the noise, lots of whoosh, whoosh.

Polybushed the rear anti roll bar this evening and replaced the drop links. But I had to cut the drop links off and use a dremel on the nuts that bolt the drop links to the chassis.  Finally I had to dremel of the lower bolts on the anti roll bar brakcets, bend them out a bit to remove the bar and shot bushes before bending back in place and using greased stainless steel m8 x bolts with matching nuts. Took me about 4 hours in total and a lot of phaffing as it's so rusty under these everything has seized.

Not looking forward to drilling out the ones on the front.

Removed the rear arch liners so I could have a tidy up and found a bit of surface rust coming through so have rubbed back to good metal (luckily no holes!) anti rust primer and then some satin black tough paint to keep it all good. Arch liners all cleaned up too just waiting for the paint to dry and will refit with some lowering springs to go on too! Paint looks shiny in the picture because it’s still wet but will dry really nice 👌🏼

I've been chasing a squealing noise when on hard boost and after initially changing the alternator belt as it was just like that noise but no joy. Checked the tensioner, cleaned the alternator and pulley wheels but the car was boosting well and pulled hard but still the noise.

After chasing this seriously for a couple of months as I thought it was getting worse I spent some time on the forums and came across a couple of articles about squealing Golfs and loose exhaust manifold bolts. So this morning I spent a couple of hours checking them and the top right two and bottom right hand were so loose I could twiddle them by hand. I used my 12mm deep socket 3/4 inch socket to tighten these up and a 12mm spanner for additional leverage to ensure they were nice and snug.  Unsure how tight to go as I don't want to snap the stud but I think I may need to replace these nuts with new copper plated ones as someone has replaced the manifold and turbo at some point. Will look up the proper torque specs and redo when it's not raining.

I also took the time to remove my plugs, clean and regap to .8mm before refitting and torquing up to 29nm.

Fitted new oil filter housing. I removed the fans but left the rad/cooler/bumper on.

It would have been quicker to take all that off so the access is much better.

Tried and failed to change the rear trailing arm bushes as I couldn't undo any of the four bolts holding the drivers side in. Have just bought some bolt removal bit like Irwins from Toolstation and will try again in a couple of days...

Had the same problem. Hard to get at the threads with releasing fluid too. Get replacement bolts before you start :happy2:

Added new oem xenons with auto levellers (kufatec loom), adjusted.
Went for a road trip with them, they are in another level of lighting in dark roads.

Where did you get the cloth from?

That's quite a price for the Mexican fabric  - search ebay for "vw tartan fabric" - Several UK suppliers a lot cheaper
