What did you and your MKV do today?

Mk5 GTian:

Have found out that my 'Laser Blue' Mk5 GTi is not Laser blue, but Shadow blue!

Garage sold it as Laser blue, but a few of you have pointed out in my photos that it looks a little dark, so I checked the paintcode on the web, and, hey presto,it's shadow blue.

Oh well, I love this colour, whatever it's called!

Had an MOT and went to DVLA to get a V5 after moving back to England, DVLA Office in Sheffield have gone on strike cause their office is closing next year.  :fighting:

Kregiel:
got full milltek exhaust, arb, forge twintake, forge intercooler, tarox 345 10 pots brakes and walk fitted today

first impressions what the hell is this noise?? - ha it's forge twintake....
brakes not bedded in yet and feel similar to standard gti brakes but expect them to be brilliant once bedded - did anybody have the same impressions regarding fitting big brake kit from AP, VW racing etc???

what impresses me most is though is walk and arb, car feels so planted and hardly any body roll in turns also rare wheel spin in this sh*tty weather...

generally very happy although still running stage 1 with all this gear, this will change at the weekend once I visit my local tuner for stage 2+

was hoping to have billsteins b12 fitted today but did not arrive from Germany so this is still on my to do list, hopefully this year

also fitted ths engine mounts at the weekend and bushes and very happy with those... some sweet noise and very little jerkiness...

Changed front arms and all bushes...... took 6 hours, when it should have taken just over 1 including realigning the car. Why did it take so long? One of the M10 console bolts didn't want to undo, which I concluded was only going to be a one-way journey... so I sheered the head off and dealt with the aftermath.

So anyone thinking about removing their car's console bushes - be warned it might be a bigger job than you first expect.

Tfsi_Mike:

Wheel off, R clip out, damn I don't have a decent punch to remove pad retaining pin, R clip back on, wheel back on, off to Halfords.

Buy punch, starts to rain.  Fail  :signLOL:
