Got Revo'd

....Much more fun than getting bladdered

I took my daughter and a friend to the station to catch a train to Brighton to see Toots And The Maytals tonight and then I dropped in to see my VW dealer and then came home the long way along the coast B-road and had some fun. I still love my car to bits after 6 years and 94k miles  :notworthy:

Oh man it's a blast. Just been out for a spin as it was rush hour when I picked her up earlier so only got the chance to give it a quick tickle. But now I've had a good go and what can I say I'm blown away by the difference. Acceleration is awesome

I photographed Toots & The Maytals a couple of years ago at a small venue in London. Even got one of the pictures in Rolling Stone, whoop  They were great actually. Your daughter should have a good night. A lot of the older artists can still do the business and make the young guns look like pretenders.

For a change returned to the car to find no one had parked next to me

Topped up the detail i did just over a week ago - rinsed, washed, rinsed, dried, quick detail, then waxed, including another coat of sealant on the wheels  :jumping:

Damn weather wasn't meant to rain and i'd got as far as waxing and buffing all panels bar the drivers side doors, but had prepped them for wax with quick detail and also had 2 wheels to buff the sealant off when the heavens opened with a heavy shower  :fighting:

Arghhh  :scared: Buffed off the wheels in the rain and by the time i'd done them the show had just about ended so i then rinsed her down again all over, dried her and then had to quick detail the drivers side doors all over again then wax and finally buff off.

Told my wife i'd be about 2 - 2.5 hours more like 3. Then this evening i went out and quick detailed and topped up the wax on the roof and bonnet, so that was another 45 mins  I think i may be obsessed, maybe even heavily addicted to cleaning the car

Looks luverly now

Went to try Autobrite snow foam that turned up last week.  Couldnt get it to foam / cling, was a bit rushed as Im not actually allowed to use shampoo / cleaning products on the street, can get fined so was a bit flustered quickly setting foam lance / foam dialution...  will try again at work off the road next week...

Mike,
beware of trees though, they're just as thoughtless as humans. I once returned to my MGB (long time ago) to find dimples on the aluminium bonnet from acorns falling.
I've avoided trees as much as humans ever since.
 :happy2:
Regards,
John

Normally avoid trees due to the usual bird poo, and sap and residue in the rain.

I was concentrating on been as far in all directions from anyone at the time lol  :signLOL:

Steve, Keep an eye on the boot hinges/boot alignment.  Mr P did that to his, and the extra pressure in the lifters started to distort the alignment IIRC.

Had my right rear brake light bulb go yesterday  :ashamed: so was up early today and changed both this morning as the left was looking a bit scorched too, such a pet hate driving behind cars with brake lights or indicators out  :fighting:

Was it just a halfrauds jobbie to replace the lights?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
