How comes philips on their website advertise them on there site saying things like "illuminates the road perfectly" and "enhances road signs and road marking reflections" if they are not legal??

Kinda got me stumped too  :stupid: Didn't check the packaging tbh but if dodds say's its on there it must be

I might have totaled it today. Tires got off the pavement in a curve and when I finally got it to get back onto the road it went nuts. I thought I got it corrected from doing that but it went into a sideways slide and off into a field it went. Won't know the extent of damage until tomorrow. I guess if it looks to be totaled I'll need to pull all of my mods off and put it back together with all the stock stuff that I still have and apply my mods to my next one. But hopefully that is not the case. I had to go to the hospital due to bad back pains. Probably get pics of it tomorrow. Very sad but glad to be alive.

Gutting to hear. Important thing is that you're alive and reasonably well.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Thanks you guys. :happy2:
I went to look at it today and the bottom under the drivers side door is pushed up a bit, and that spot is likely the only damage that may determine if it is going to be totaled. It sucks if that happens, but at least I have all of the oem parts that were pulled to make room for my list of mods. My mechanic will pull all of my mods and reinstall the oem parts for me if it is totaled. So, at least I won't lose that huge chunk of change.

Gutted for you, at least you can put all of the parts on another car :happy2:

I fitted my ITG intake today
The foam stuff is rubbish, it even makes my hood sit higher, and I've wound my stops down aswell. This kind of thing annoys me as I have to adjust about 400 hoods a week in my job, and cant even get my own car to sit right!
On another note, I like the sound better than the twintake. It doesnt look as nice, but how often do I look under the bonnet

^^^ You mean the foam on top of the battery cover makes it sit higher or the side part on the left? My one sits flush with my bonnet so you might just need to adjust it a little if you can to get a better fit
