Well today I made up the looms for the door warning light mod. Hopefully if it stops dry tomorrow I will be fitting them.

Hope to see the pics!

Here some pics finally fitted.

That does look nice!

I finally received my mkv from the body shop today. There is still a dozen or so small issues I'm not happy about. So it will be going back on Monday. Love the flat black on the center of the bonnet and the roof.  :happy2:

Conversely, I hate low tyre pressures. Once came out of a dealership and the car felt sluggish and unresponsive. Was found to have 32psi all round. Inflated up to 37psi and the car was spot on.

Horses for courses isn't it? :)  There is definitely more speed with 36PSI (down to less rolling resistance?).  I'm going to try dropping the fronts to 34PSI and leave the rears on 36PSI - hopefully that should provide a compromise  :happy2:

Fitted neeter forge vacuum take off to inlet manifold.

Quick wash. (foam / rinse / foam / hand wash / rinse / very quick over roof with SRP)

Thanks Gareth  :happy2:  KW Variant 3, oem top mounts, TTs lower arms

Recently raised it 15-20mm not as happy with the look but have altered the geometry with TT arms so if I want it as low will need to pull the arches

Must be a relief to be able to wash it without fear of prosecution!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Cleaned engine bay.

Due to the sun actually making an appearance today I thought I'd give the engine bay a bloody good clean up!

Bring out the AG engine degreaser and some MF cloths........................and some effort!

tfsi Mike, what's the foam you use often for the cleaning?

And what's the deal with washing your car? Is there something wrong with that?

Auto brite Magi foam  :happy2:  very good.  Although to cover one car I use a full bottle of solution (1.5" of foam) Is that normal? I think I'm going to look for a better lance.

I lived in Germany for 4 years where you are not allowed to use detergents or shampoos of any kind washing you car.  It's an environmental thing shampoo running into the poor grass  :fighting:

There are lots of dedicated wash box / jet wash places dotted about that you are allowed to use but the amount of time I spend washin I would work out a fortune .  So when I washed my car, especially when I foamed it I was being a bit naughty and couldn't relax and take my time.

Moved back to England now though where I can wash to my hearts content lol
