Best springs?

<< < (2/3) > >>

dodds-gttdi:
Just sold my mk4 with Eibach -30mm springs and to be honest I thought the ride was quite harsh in it.

Gonna go for H & R Sport Springs (the 30-35mm) ones.

Best place to look is AWESOME GTI

What I've never understood is how much do they lower by? If a GTI or GT TDI (my car) is factory lowered (15mm IIRC), do the springs lower it ANOTHER 30-35mm or just 20ish mm?  :stupid:

I too want to lower my car a little bit from standard but cant really afford the £700+ full suspension kit so im looking at just springs only.

Is it best to get full suspension kits or are springs fine on their own?

So far ive seen the H&R ones recommended at £150 but i dont want to get cheap crappy ones.

stu_no_1:
I have Lowtec springs fitted to my r32 and im more than happy with them ive never seen a better stance without coilovers i had eibach sportlines on my gti and i always thought it was lowered more at the back than the front. These have really taken off on r32 oc everyone is buying them and they seem to be cheaper than h&r springs and better. Go on this site www.madeone.com and id phone up speak to chris and im sure he could beat any quote that you have for springs. The ride comfort is just as stock maybe a slight stiffer but i never noticed this is only really what other ppl on r32oc have said. And most importantly the pics of the stance
