Just outta curiosity, how does one know about these policy changes? Do we ever get letters?

I believe that some people get letters from their dealers. I'm the 3rd owner, my main dealer will no doubt be sending a letter or noting it at the next service. Anyone know a good indy around Glasgow? £411 I've been quoted by Verve VW in Glasgow  :surprised:

VW quoted me £295 all in.  That doesn't include the water pump,  which should really be changed as well.  So I am having it changed a week on monday for £295 plus the VAT but with the water pump as well.  Having the work done at Awesome.

Good news.....www.a4audi.co.uk are only looking at £220 + vat to do the timing belt! I got treated well there when they recoded my cruise for free...think I'll go there  :jumpmove:

as i maybe looking for an earlier gti, got to consider the extra cost:
1. Main service
2. Dsg service
3. Cam belt change
4. Brake fluid change
5. A/C service

Ouch.
