This is class, I'd absolutely love to see/hear more about polished monzas, it's something I'm considering at the moment as opposed to replacing with something aftermarket.

They were'nt in bad condition to start with.

Started off with 600 grit sandpaper, then 800, 1000, 1500, 2000.

Then finish with a metal polish.
