Bird sh*t!!!!!!!!!

s3dubbin:
Please give me some tricks of the trade to removing bird sh*t stains on my back quarter? What a mess!! Audi s3 8p phantom black. Have hit it with all my megs products and it has laughed at them all. Heard a rumour about removing the stain with a hair dryer??? Seems to remove the ammonia? Cheers peeps, Stevie.

winrya:
you'll probably find it has etched the clear coat so you will need to wet sand it and polish to fix the paint

stealthwolf:
How long was it left on there for? Under what conditions? Bird lime can damage clearcoat to the point where a respray is needed.

Please post up some pics.

EDIT: beaten to it by winrya. I presume you've tried tar remover and claying it?

s3dubbin:
Cant get pics tonight but will try tommorrow if i can. Wasnt there 7am and returned 3.30pm so maybe 8hrs....in the sunshine. Is the hair dryer nonsense??? The amount of bird crap that has been on my car and never marked it, this has annoyed me. Not a polisher but like my car clean. Stevie.

Sorry i cannot help
but i have exactly the same problem with a shadow blue Golf and have a mark on the bonnet   I washed it off as soon as i spotted it but it could have been on for a few hours. It seems to have stained the clear coat on the bonnet and i have tried claying and light polish but nothings touching it
