Tfsi_Mike:
Ill take a look at 6 & 7Rs in a year but think I should try something different!

I wonder if there would be a company to actually make an after market turbo intake hose to go round the oval oem maf housing to the turbo flange. Then one to go onto the intake pipe to the air filter, going oval into a circle shape. Very similar to the ITG one but actually incorporate an oem maf housing off an old engine cover but using exact fit hoses rather than circular ones fitting over an oval shape.
Dan_FR:
You mean like this? http://www.awesomegti.com/car/seat/leon1p/samco-turbo-intake-pipe-2-0tfsi-with-k04-turbocharger
Nothing wrong with using a circular pipe anyway, end result is the same, smooth transition from oval to round. I made my own version of this pipe (using round pipes) for a 1/3 of the price
Problem for the other side of the MAF housing is that everyone will be butchering their engine covers differently. Would only work if buying something like the 42DD MAF Housing.
Tfsi_Mike:
Spmething like the 44DD offering is exactly what Inhad in mind. I will only bother if Rtech thinks there is a genuine performance advantage when it comes to mapping.
Dan_FR:
Won't make a difference peak numbers wise, makes the car nicer/smoother to drive off boost, more responsive and a smoother transition between vac & boost (from my experience). Niki found it to be an improvement too, sure he posted about it in the 'TFSI Tuning' group on FB
