Hi Mike, sorry for not getting back to you last night.
Yea I "borrowed" a set of rocco bumpers from a car at work. I might order a new set and see if they work.
I have bootlid spoiler on my car, which will add an extra bit weight. That might be part of the problem.

No probs.
Because the spoiler is next to the hinge I don't think it will effect it.
What adjustments did you make to the bumpers, I must say with Rocco bumpers only my boot 'popped' just enough to get your fingers under. It made me think they had a fair bit of push.
Sorry to sound daft, I'm not trying to insult your intelligence at all but have you adjusted the coding with vcds?
Just want to be sure before I spend £50 on struts!
Thanks for the reply!
b9rgo1234:
There is a hole in the middle of the bumper for an allen key, loosen the screw inside then fully compress it and retighten.
Yea I coded it with vagcom to fully unlock/open.
It only needs a little more kick when opening, maybe 5-10mm and it would lift itself. It works if I park one side on the kerb
