G85 No Signal Communications Fault

Hi, I am Ryan from Malta.  This morning I upgraded my 2008 Jetta SW to a MFSW.  I changed the steering controller from an AP one to a BS.  But the problem I have is that now I am getting an error saying that there is G85 No Signal Communication, with the steering light and ESP always on.

Can anyone please shed some light, as I bought my control module from ebay and i am thinking it is faulty.
