He has a 864 now so retek.de should have plenty of euro 974
skard:
Very true, Ed.
The problem with Retek is that you pay a premium, and I'm not sure what the going rate is for coding x73/74 clocks these days?
LouCyffer:
Very difficult to code a used 74 cluster. Dealers can't unless it's a brand new one. The only guy on here that can do this is Kalu, who retrofitted my 974 highline. Fantastic guy & very helpful. Drop him a pm, he may well be able to help/advise you

Hi everybody and Merry Christmas!
Does anyone know if a dashboard with VAG number: 1K6 920 864
supports Micronas CDC 3217 / 3297 / 3272 MCUs or NEC MCU + 24C32?
I want to buy the appropriate hardware in order to reprofit it myself :stupid:
Thanks :tree:

Happy Christmas :santa: every one!!
If possible, I'd like some advice about my midline to highline upgrade.
I've read everything I can find about it on this and other forums, but I keep getting myself confused.
I currently have a 1K0 920 960 Midline dash in the car at the mo. I think I need a 1K0 920 970 for a highline upgrade (I have a GT TDI, not as easy to find as petrol :sad1: ). I know that any clocks after 06 need to be done by VW (or a couple of guys on here).
So, can I conceivably look for any highline clock on fleabay, as long as they're manufactured before 2006? Or would I need 1K0 920 970 for me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :driver:
Also, does Vag Can Commander require another lead? I have VCDS Hex+Can at the mo, and don't want to buy another lead just for this mod!
Thanks,
Dave
