Engine fans working over time....?

im not quite sure whats wrong with it, but over the last couple of days whilst in traffic i can hear the engine fans or something working away and when i park up and turn the enginge off they are still going for a bit? does anyone know why this may be, i can only put it down to the hot(ish) weather at the moment???!!

is it anything to worry about...

Its likely just to be the increase in ambient temps mate, only other thing worth checking is that both fans are coming on (small and large fan)  It is a known fault that if the big fan fails or stops working then the small fan will take over which is potentially noisier and will run for longer.
