Brake pad warning plug/sensor brokey :(

(1/1)

keano:
Hi guys.

I managed to break the plug that connects to the wear sensor on my brakes at the weekend.

The plastic clip has broken, thus throwing the 'Check Brake Pads' warning on the dash.  :fighting: :fighting: :fighting:

Is this part readily available? Or is it possible to just code the swine out using VagCom?

Thanks budsters,  :jumpmove:

Nick

Nasir:
Yes you can uncode it in the instrument module. I had to do the same thing.

Thanks Nasir  :happy2:

Where abouts are you from?

Nasir:
I'm from Batley (near Leeds). Nice car BTW :happy2:

Brake pad wiring. When my coilovers where being fitted when I realised the driveshaft the wire got pulled quiet harshly. Now the dash keeps saying check brake pads. This may mean the wiring loom is damaged. Can anyone source a part number or a price ?

I have read it can be coded out. However, does this mean It wont detect any faults later or is this just a temporary reset.
