Fitting Rear Pads - GTi
gti-ug:
Just bought some rear pads from the dealers which came with new caliper bolts and metal clips.
Pads have an anti squeal looking backing is it still advisable to still fit some 3M Anti Squeal or should i be ok?
Also do i wind the pistons clockwise ?

part number on the box is 1k0 698 451 L
part number on the pads is 1k0 615 415 P
they are to fit a 2006 and cost just under £41 inc vat from TPS
Kalpsn2000:
You should be fine fitting the pads as they are. Mine had an anti squeal looking backing and are fine.
I'm pretty sure the pistons wind clockwise. I used a piston rewind tool which I got from Amazon, which I can highly recommend as it will be very tough to do without.
