Excellent guide, apart from the lack of explanation when releasing the clip on the module/steering column - it took me longer to figure that out than the rest of the job! :stupid:
As mentioned by MPS, now I've done it once I could do it again in record time, so if anyone in the Kent area needs assistance PM me. :happy2:

Mine didn't come with instructions but as you say fairly straightforward to fit.
Regarding coding, can anyone tell what is required, is it a simple job that a VCDS owner would be able to do without instruction?

That was on my caddy but should be pretty similar for the golf

Brillant that mate, can I just ask a couple of things though?
When you go into 16 - Steering Wheel, will it show the current code? As yours is now 000032, I presume your code was 000002 before you installed CC? I only ask because looking through the Ross tech coding list, it is like double Dutch to me! I have fiited the stalk only so I guess I will need code 3 - Cruise Control System (CCS) with 4 Positions via Blinker Stallk installed? :stupid:
Hopefully I will not need any further coding after that as I have no warning lights.

Yes mine was 000002 before and then 000032 with the new cruise stalk.
then you have to do the activation code in the engine module.
and then if you have the steering angle fault then you need to reset that.
