john_o:
yep 18 months old 19,600 miles , 2nd service
yours for a cool £165  (forgot to ask for long life oil duh!)
requested again to get them to check engine mounts which they still say are ok but they are h*mped
Alas my front tyres have worn down to under 3mm in 8000 miles  so they will need replacing.
(Mich Pilot Sport 2 arent cheap anywhere I can find)
To be fair I have noticed it lights up the TC light in the dry now in 2nd and 3rd in the straight ahead position whereas it didnt before when there was more tread....
Brake fluid is next at 2yrs of ownership...

was that service at VW? good price to be honest, mines not due a service for a year, hopefully wont be too dear!!

btw have you had any problems with warranty items after the remap and mods?

john_o:
Yeah duncan , VW the car is still in warranty.
They mentioned the WALK kit (which is immediately obvious under the car) but werent bothered.
I havent as yet disclosed the map to them officially but Im sure they know its not std (I have an in dash boost guage as well)
I know RedRobin on here prefers to fully disclose before, but thats not my position, however if asked I will be honest, they havent yet.
If the map gets overwritten I'm close to Awesome to get the software put back on tbh
Car is switched to OE map and locked (APR software) for servicing
a) for std boost levels and b) so people dont want to try a remapped ED30
What you do depends on the relationship and the way the dealer reacts  :happy2:
Warranty should still be ok for items not deemed effected by mods, in terms of engine/clutch etc though it gets more risky as they are def under more strain. But thats the risk you take, if not dont remap.

Top Cat:
Where did you go for your service.  :innocent: Mr pod king.

john_o:
lol , Im going for the slowest 1/4 mile time  remapped ed30 in the uk
Gilbert Lawton , Manchester  :happy2:
