--- Quote from: Very Cherry on March 27, 2009, 05:59:10 pm ---you will need to solve it cos if you ever need to make a big insurance claim (such as it getting nicked or you running out of talent on a corner) there would be a discrepancy between your V5 and your insurance documentation which will void your policy due to misreprasentation

Very good point!

Does the sticker on the inside of the drivers door aperture say GTI?
Service book should also tell you, if a GTI, and the engine code.

keith:
When i bought a MKII Leon FR the dealer listed it wrongly on my V5, it came thru as the stylance which it wasn't but they got in touch with the DVLA and got it changed they did it all for me :happy2:
duncan:
thanks for that guys - will chase it up with the DVLA, is a good point that if something were to happen to the car claiming might be an issue since its missrepresented on the V5.
saying that might be saving on insurance and since its the DVLA's screw up might be ok in the end
my engine definitley looks exactly the same as that picture
cheers
Duncan
