Differences bw Pirelli & Edition 30?
« on: March 28, 2009, 09:01:13 pm »
am i gonna get a "use the search button" for this?

we dont get the Edition 30 in Oz but we do get the Pirelli which i have (Reflex Silver, 5door, DSG - which they all are).

are their any differences in engines?  (dont think so according to the manual)

i know the wheels, tyres and interior trim are different, but anything else?

Good choice of motor.

5dr - silver - DSG = best combo

The Pirelli also comes as standard with the windows dark tinted from the B pillar back.

Like has already been said, there are no differences in the engine, suspension, chassis etc over the ED30.
Golf R gone.

There's an unregistered one at Smith Knight Fay in Stockport but I'm not tempted because of the seats and stitching.

I assume you mean the Pirelli ... and urrr ... of course it's worth the extra money - for the motor alone and the ability to remap ? The extra's being the rear tints were circa £150, the arm rest another £150, Highline £70, MFSW £300 ish - thats nearly £700 of extras standard ... plus the exclusivity factor - the fact that there are less than 250 in circulation that is 10 TIMES RARER THAN AN EDITION 30 - well nearly anyway.  Residual values will be higher ...

Need I continue ...?

I was offered a factory order Pirelli when I bought my edition 30, I was in the dealers a week after they stopped taking factory orders for the Edition 30 ... I prefer the ED30 but did consider a silver Pirelli.
