GTIs should have the same 140 A alternator as the TDI models.
So not an issue at all. Required labour is two to three hours.

Is this for 1 cable or a set, ie 2 cables.
As 1Q0 971 478 A/B is the wiring harness for this heater, I guess its HIGH Amp cable. at twice the price of the above.
I was looking into doing this on my Tdi, but then read reports that there was also a fire issue, due to a bad earth, which caused over heating.
I pulled all the drivers side trims off looking on where this is to be fitted, couldn't find the slot in the HVAC. Couldn't make sense of the diagram. :sad1:

its an electric heater which is a nice feature in the winter. Starts giving of heat after 30 seconds. All soot chuckers have them
